At Kyoto English Lab, we believe that language learning should be fun, engaging, and interactive! That's why we take our lessons outdoors, creating exciting opportunities for students to practice English naturally while enjoying the beauty of Kyoto's parks.
Being based in Kyoto city, we have access to many beautiful parks across town. Our outdoor events have already been held at:
KYOTO IMPERIAL PALACE PARK
NIJO PARK
UMEKOJI PARK
TAKARAGAIKE PARK
We can host these events almost anywhere with enough notice and preparation.
We can even arrange special events outside of Kyoto city in Shiga, Nara and Osaka!
Our outdoor events are designed to spark students' imaginations and encourage natural English conversation in a relaxed and exciting environment. Activities include:

EVENT DETAILS
Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm
Days: Weekends, public holidays, school vacation days
Locations: Imperial Palace Park, Nijo Park, Takaragaike Park, Umekoji Park
Ages: 4-12 years old
Minimum number of children: 7
Maximum number of children: 15
Costs: ¥5500 per child, ¥4500 for younger siblings
Groups of 10 children or more joining together can get ¥500 discount per child.
Payment for at least 7 children must be made for the event to proceed.
Your family is welcome to join an event with other families.
You may form a group of families and request an event,
in this case outside families may also join the event.
You may form a group and request a closed event with a payment for at least 10 children, in this case no outside families will be able to join.
At least 1 parent for every 4 children is required to stay for the entire event. Usually parents trade off, some stay a few hours, then they change at lunchtime.
These outdoor events in Kyoto typically last 5 hours, however longer or shorter ones are possible upon request, and the location can be elsewhere. In these cases the cost for the event will change so please contact us for more information.
In cases of very large events, assistants may be asked to join and help.
